MathGen History

The original Windows version of MathGen was created in the late 1990's by Mike Garner.  Mike witnessed his K-6 teacher friends in Southern California cutting out problems from math worksheet books they would buy.  Next they would take the problems they liked and paste them on a sheet of blank paper to then make copies for the students.  After a year of development and beta testing by teachers providing new functionality requests, MathGen software was published to eliminate all that cutting and pasting.  MathGen was sold on CD's in the US and globally teachers, parents, schools, school districts and homeschool organizations for the next 10+ years.  The original software still actually runs on the Windows 11.  After relocating to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2026, Mike realized MathGen's functionality could be and should be made available to everyone directly through the MathGen.com website.  Now anyone anywhere can use MathGen to create math worksheets online for free.  Please tell any grade school teachers or parents of grade school children that MathGen is available to make basic math practice as easy as possible.  Go to the MathGen homepage to get started with the new online version of MathGen.
