MathGen has the following options for division problems:

• INTEGER ANSWERS - This option ensures that all generated division problems result in integer answers.

• REMAINDER ANSWERS or ANSWERS TO 3 DECIMAL PLACES - This option allows the choice of printing answer sheets with answers in remainders or answers to 3 decimal places.

• Problem number ranges can be set anywhere between -999 and 999 for division problems.

Division Problem Facts:

Division problems are generated based on the range of numbers set and the division options set. MathGen will not allow a number to be divided by zero (undefined answer). Division problems can have answers which are integers, integers with a remainder, or numbers to 3 decimal places by setting the options accordingly. Since division problems require a different format than addition, subtraction, or multiplication problems, they are more limited. Worksheets with division problems either have all division or half multiplication and half division. Worksheets with multiplication and division have multiplication problems first then the division problems. The range of numbers for division problems is between -999 and 999 verses -9999 and 9999 for other types of problems. Division problems are also only available in small font (25 problems per worksheet).

Common Options: 

• Problem number ranges for non-division problems can be set anywhere between -9999 and 9999.

• Division and Multiplication problems can appear on a single worksheet with all options available.

• Answer Sheets can be printed. 

• Up to 5 versions of the worksheet can be printed.

• Problems can be changed manually in MathGen's edit screen mode.  The problem numbers can be changed, however, for division problems the problem type can not changed (due to the format difference

• Worksheets can be saved to disk and opened later.
